My name is Adriana Gonzalez, I am the Grant Administrator of the Village of Columbus. Being a Grant Administrator is to administer grants and cooperative agreements, applying knowledge of organizational needs and deadlines. As a Grant Administrator I must ensure that the Foundation’s grant-making and related processes, documents, procedures, and implementation are executed. Some of my roles include but are not limited to, allocate and appropriate grants within the Village to financially support deserving projects and to keep track on the incoming requests for funding and handling them carefully. Good communication skills and excellent organizational skills are needed to be a grant administrator. The benefit of my role is to help our low-income community achieve goals and finish projects. A grant administrator plays a very important role in the community.
